Monster Hunt Rules Full version V3
OVERVIEWThe monster hunts pits the clan and its' allies against a small group of powerful monsters with the idea of promoting clan team work during combat, and having fun. No single warrior should expect to be able to defeat a monster by themselves. The hunt is run and refereed by an Amazon Celt game master. Typically this is BJ Turnwarm. Please abide by the Game Master decisions and follow their directions.
COMBAT AND METERIn addition to the general Amazon Celt combat rules (see attached).
Spellfire meter and weapons. All clan members and allies are to select "human" as their race on the Spellfire meter. The exception to this is pre-established characters.
Use only one two-handed weapon at time (no bow and sword at the same time combination)
Use of armor is allowed. Wearing of stamina generators to negate the stamina loss from armor is prohibit. If you have armor please wear it on your avatar. Cheesy Dungeons and Dragons surplus rings of protection are not acceptable. You don't want to wear armor then don't claim the protection.
Arrows quivers for reloads will be placed in the fort or you avatar's home at the beginning of the hunt for arrow reloads. No one carries 200 arrows around on them. Do not just rez a new quiver were ever you are when you run out.
If you crash rejoin the hunt at the crash point or the landing.
Please minimize the use of scripts to reduce lag for other players.
DEADIf you die wait the six minute count unit the your meter reads "ressurectable" before resting your meter. "Dead" avatars will return to the Clan Infirmary (preferably by being carried) before resetting their meters (with the exception of appropriate RP)
WHAT IS NOT ALLOWEDNo Flying, with the exception of pre-established characters.
Pets and followers not scripted for Spellfire combat.
Use of scripts or an AO to render an avatar invisible or render an avatar invulnerable to damage.
Actions negating the Spellfire system like resetting the meter before end of the death countdown.
Use of scripts to harass, blind, push or cage monsters or other avatars during the hunt.
MAGICWhile Spellfire allows the use of magic Amazon Celt is a low fantasy sim and its focus first and foremost is on Amazon warriors and not some SL version of World of Warcraft; the use of magic is strictly limited. Magic use only by previous arrangement with Amazon Celt leadership. THIS INCLUDES HEALING AND WEAPONS. In general magic is to ONLY USED as part of Role Play and not a mechanic in normal combat. If you are in doubt about some magic, the answer is no.
Harbringer bows are considered magical; they eliminate the SF reload animation, SF limits range, arrows speed and have unlimited ammunition. Their use is restricted.
Radars are considered magic and restricted for realism and lag
HEALINGThere is an Amazon Celt healers group. The have specific restrictions and guidance on how to use their magic. Only members of this group are allowed to use healing magic or healing crystals during the hunt. Otherwise healing will be done by recovery and bandages. Bandages should be rezed in your avatar's home or the clan infirmary
MONSTERSMonsters are part of the Monster RP group. They are considered a kind of friend of the clan here to help our RP. They are vetted and cleared by Clan leadership. Please keep in mind they are not bots but other residents. There tags will say "Monster"
The current active monsters are
Chaz Leavenworth
DaHulkGuy Baxton
Grond Mocha
Saldazar Eebus
Szhian Broadfoot
Monsters will be the exception to almost all the rules for balance, difficulty and what the role play calls for.
Remember this is for fun and RP. That means allow monsters a chance to gloat or boast if they try to.
